Are there travel tripods or monopods with spring-loaded one-handed deployment?

I'm looking for a lightweight travel tripod, or possibly a monopod, that can be opened and closed one-handed—something like a switchblade knife or automatic umbrella, using a spring in the legs and a central release. Do products like this exist, either current or older designs? The only example I've found so far is a prototype called ProductTank.

I have an old "SLIK" monopod that has a release button and spring that will deploy the top section (1 of 4) about 5 inches. It even has a warning label to point it toward the ground. It's a fairly powerful spring, powerful enough that if you let it freely deploy it would probably break itself after a few dozen uses.
It's intended to be a convenient fine height adjustment, like a tripod center post, without having to mess with the leg segments. The spring is powerful enough to support an SLR and moderate telephoto lens without collapsing.
I've used it mostly in crowded seating like stadiums and such. It's light enough to carry without the groaning of committing to a full tripod, but of course not nearly as useful as a tripod.

They’re very uncommon, especially as full tripods. Based on the community response, at least some older monopods did use a spring-loaded release: one example mentioned is an older SLIK monopod with a button that deploys the top section by several inches.
That design was meant more for quick fine height adjustment—similar to a tripod center column—than for fully opening the support automatically. The spring was strong enough to support an SLR with a moderate telephoto, but also strong enough to need care when released.
So the short answer is: spring-loaded one-handed deployment has existed in limited form on monopods, but not as a common tripod style. For full tripods, this kind of mechanism is rare because tripods need strong leg locks, rigidity, and safe controlled setup, which works against automatic spring deployment.
