Are there any books specifically about birth photography?

I’m looking for books or handbooks focused specifically on birth photography—the documentation of labor, delivery, and the baby’s first moments and parent interactions in a hospital or home setting. Most photography books I’ve found are about newborn photography, which usually covers sessions several days after birth. Are there any books dedicated to birth photography, or at least resources with substantial coverage of it?

I think this may be too specialized a topic to have entire major-publisher books dedicated to it. Hate to sound all LMGTFY, but as I said in my earlier comment, just googling on "photographing childbirth" produces a great many links, FAQs, professional birth photographer websites, etc., and is how I found the following self-published book on Blurb:

The Birth Photographer's Handbook

From the "About this book":

This handbook is designed for aspiring and professional photographers wanting to learn more about birth photography....

Would not suggest googling or Amazon-searching on "birth photography", since there are apparently a LOT of books with "The birth of photography" in the title/description. :D

Birth photography appears to be a fairly specialized niche, so there may not be many major-publisher books devoted entirely to it. However, community members did identify at least one dedicated resource: The Birth Photographer’s Handbook, a self-published book intended for aspiring and professional photographers who want to learn more about birth photography.

If you’re searching online, try terms like “photographing childbirth” rather than “birth photography,” since the latter can return many unrelated results such as books about the history or “birth of” photography. In practice, you may also find useful material through professional birth photographer websites, FAQs, and guides if full-length traditional books are limited.
