I want to start experimenting with macro photography on my Panasonic Lumix GF3 (Micro Four Thirds), but my budget is around $150–200. The Panasonic/Leica macro lens is out of my price range. What are good budget-friendly ways to get into macro with this camera system?

Have you considered extension tubes? Take a look at the Wikipedia article they're a lot cheaper and if you're just starting out in macro photograph are often a beeter way to get started.

For a $150–200 budget, extension tubes are a strong option to consider for your Panasonic Lumix GF3. They fit between the camera body and lens, letting your existing lens focus much closer for macro-style shots, and they’re usually much cheaper than a dedicated macro lens. If you’re just starting out, they’re often one of the best low-cost ways to learn macro photography before investing in a true macro lens. Keep in mind that extension tubes reduce focusing distance and can make shooting a bit less convenient, but they’re a practical budget-friendly starting point.
