Overview

The Leica CL Camera w/ 40 mm f/2 Summicron Lens is an easy-to-use camera that every amateur photographer should have. It features a mechanical shutter that works perfectly, even when the battery runs out of power. The vertical strap mountings enable you to attach the strap in a firm manner for easy portability. The TTL metering system comes in handy for controlling the amount of light emitted from a flash to ensure an even light distribution for your subjects. The camera’s removable back makes it easy to load and remove the film roll. The hot shoe on top of the camera allows you to mount an external flash.

Optics and Focus

The Leica CL camera is equipped with a Summicron lens that provides an aperture of f/2 and a focal length of 40 mm. The mechanical shutter featured in this camera remains functional, even when the battery gets exhausted. Also, the ISO sensitivity ranges from 25 to 1600, whereas the shutter speed ranges from 1/2 a second to 1/1000th of a second.

Sensor and Screen

The viewfinder in the Leica CL features a visible meter needle for viewing your subjects with immense accuracy before capturing them. For added convenience, you can view the shutter speeds in the viewfinder itself.

Image and Video
