The Canon EF-S 55–250mm f/4–5.6 IS II Lens delivers amazing performance, be it for wide-angle photography or close-up. This lens is specially meant for Canon cameras with an EF mount. Its design includes 12 elements, including 1 Ultra-low Dispersion element, in 10 groups to reduce chromatic anomalies throughout its zoom range. The built-in DC motor helps in accurate focusing. The lens can focus on objects as close as 1.1 m. Further, its seven-blade diaphragm lends a beautiful bokeh effect on images. For handheld shooting, the lens comes with image stabilization that reduces camera shakes. The slowest shutter speed at which this lens can be operated when shooting handheld is 1/15th of second. When fitted to APS-C image sensor cameras, the lens provides a field view of 27° 50'–6° 15'.
