Speaking of focus, the lens is equipped with a Silent Wave Motor, which converts traveling waves into rotational energy to focus the lens' optics so that you get an accurate, near-silent autofocus, every time. For added shooting flexibility, you can effortlessly switch between auto and manual focus mode by simply turning the lens’ focusing ring. The seven-blade diaphragm is capable of producing a smooth background bokeh. This lens is constructed of nine elements in nine groups, along with a Super Integrated Coating.
