Capture quick, candid shots by attaching the Tamron 17–50mm f/2.8 XR Di-II LD Aspherical (IF) Autofocus Lens to your Pentax DSLR camera. Its optical design includes 16 elements in 13 groups. There are two hybrid aspherical elements in the lens, which reduce spherical aberrations in the image as well as shorten its overall length. The low-dispersion glass element enhances image sharpness and minimizes chromatic inconsistencies. Ghosting and lens flare are reduced by the internal surface coating. The autofocus system helps get the subject in focus quickly, even at a close range of 27 cm. This lens comes with a seven-blade diaphragm that offers a soft-edge bokeh in the background. When you carry the lens, its zoom lock prevents the barrel from extending.
