OVERVIEW

TAMRON's new 50-300mm VC zooms provides a wide 50mm starting option. Although it extends to 300mm at the telephoto end, the 50-300mm F4.5-6.3 VC features an extremely compact size with a length of just 150mm (5.9") and a class-leading light weight of 665g (23.5 oz). The compact size also produces outstanding balance when paired with an APS-C camera for 75-450mm equivalent. The expert arrangement of special lens elements effectively controls aberrations and produces high image quality throughout the entire zoom range. The lens is equipped with a VXD linear motor focus mechanism that delivers excellent quietness and agile autofocus performance, while the VC image stabilization mechanism provides powerful support for every aspect of shooting. At the 50mm wide end, the lens attains an MOD of 0.22m (8.7") for a remarkable maximum magnification ratio of 1:2 allowing users to enjoy the world of half-macro shooting. The 50-300mm VC is packed with features that support an enriched shooting experience, such as Moisture-Resistant Construction, Fluorine Coating, 67mm filter size, and the connector port for the dedicated TAMRON Lens UtilityTM software developed in-house by TAMRON. The groundbreaking 50-300mm f/4.5-6.3 Di III VC VXD (Model A069) telephoto zoom lens was created in response to feedback from users, who want to "zoom out justa little more." Starting at 50mm, it's ideal for situations where 70mm would feel somewhat tight. The compact 6x zoom lens boasts a length of just 150mm (5.9in) and a class leading light weight of 665g (23.5oz) A generous and effective arrangement of special lens elements, including two XLD and two LD lens elements, provides uncompromising optical performance throughtout the entire zoom range. High Speed, high precision AF with VC mechanism for stability

The AF drive employs a VXD linear motor focus mechanism to provide accurate focusing from MOD through infinity with class-leading speed and high precision. Tracking performance for moving objects is outstanding, ensuring you can capture once-in-a-lifetime photo oppotunities without missing any shots.

The 50-300mm f4.5-6.3 VC is equipped with Tamrons VC mechanism to effectively suppress camera shake that tends to occur when shooting in the telephoto range, during close-focusing or when shooting in low-light conditions.

Half-Macro photography at 50mm

Excellent close-up performance with an MOD of 0.22m (8.7in) delivers a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2 at the 50mm wide end. Get extremely close to subjects and enjoy half-macro photography. Compatible with Tamron Lens Utility Software

The 50-300mm F4.5 -6.3 VC is compatible with the dedicated Tamron Lens Utility software developed in house by Tamron. It lets the users change lens settings, assign camera body functions and update firmware when necessary. In addition, functions unique to the mobile version can be operated remotely without touching the lens, users may customize functions for various still and video shooting styles, providing a more personalized and fullfilling shooting expierence.
