Overview
The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Zoom Lens (For Leica-L) is a versatile, wide-angle to portrait-length zoom lens, that features a constant f/2.8 maximum aperture, which makes it suitable for working in a variety of lighting conditions, & increases your control over depth of field. A series of aspherical, & low dispersion elements, are featured to reduce a variety of aberrations, which increases clarity, sharpness, & color accuracy. Super Multi-Layer & Nano Porous Coatings are applied to improve color rendering, & contrast, by suppressing lens flare & ghosting, while shooting in strong lighting conditions. The 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Zoom Lens is a part of Sigma's Global Vision series, which is known for achieving a high optical-performance, & is greatly suited for artistic & creative applications.
The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Zoom Lens (For Leica-L) is designed for full-frame, Leica L-mount mirrorless cameras, such as the Sigma fp Mirrorless Camera (Click to View), but can also be used with APS-C-format models, which changes its focal length to a 36-105mm equivalent focal
The 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Zoom Lens features two Special Low Dispersion (SLD), & six F Low Dispersion (FLD) Elements, that are featured to reduce chromatic aberrations, & color fringing, for improved clarity, & color accuracy, throughout the zoom range. Three aspherical elements are included to control distortion, & spherical aberrations, to increase sharpness, & provide accurate rendering in your images. A Super Multi-Layer & Nano Porous Coating have both been applied to lens elements, to minimize lens flare, & ghosting, & provide improved contrast, & color neutrality, even in stronger lighting conditions.
The lens features an integrated stepping motor, which helps it to achieve a fast, quiet, & precise, autofocusing performance. An optimized AF algorithm is included, to further provide a smoother performance. The wide end of the zoom range, features a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.9, which is suitable for working with close-up subjects, while the telephoto end, features a minimum focusing distance of 1.25 ft., with a maximum magnification of 1:4.5. A customizable AF-L button can be programmed to adjust a number of shooting settings, & a dedicated AF/MF switch, and zoom lock switch, are included to prevent the lens barrel from accidentally extending.
The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art Lens features a rounded, 11-blade diaphragm, which enables the use of selective focusing techniques, to provide a pleasing bokeh quality to your images. Its brass bayonet allows for improved mounting accuracy, & its rubber sealing features a dust & splash-resistant design.
