Overview
The Shure 55SH Series II Unidyne Cardioid Dynamic Microphone is designed to have a classic look & is suitable for vocal recording sessions, live stage applications, & on-camera use. The dynamic cartridge is shock-mounted to decrease the chances of handling noise & vibrations transferred through the microphone stand. Its cardioid polar pattern minimizes pickup of off-axis noise & ambience, which produces higher gain before feedback. This microphone delivers a frequency response of 50 Hz to 15 kHz with a light presence boost peaking at approximately 6.5 kHz. Its XLR 3-pin output makes it compatible with most mixer inputs, microphone preamps, & portable PA systems. The microphone also includes an on/off switch for convenient muting of the microphone between performances or speeches. Its self-tensioning, 5/8-27-inch thread swivel mount can be tilted up to 45 degrees forward & 80 degrees backward. Its chrome die-cast metal design provides tour-worthy durability.
