The Panasonic HC-WXF991K camcorder is equipped with a 20x Leica Dicomar optical zoom lens that has a focal length ranging from 4.08 to 81.6 mm and an aperture ranging from f/ 1.8 to 3.6. The camcorder’s shutter speed ranges from 1/24 of a second to 1/8000 of a second.
Sensor and Screen
The HC-WXF991K camcorder from Panasonic features an 18.91 MP 1/2.3-inch MOS sensor that lets you capture high-quality videos and still images with ease. The 3-inch LCD screen comes with a resolution of 460k dots that offers a great deal of clarity for viewing captured content. The .24-inch viewfinder has a 1555k-dot resolution and can be used when certain lighting conditions make it difficult to use the screen.
Image and Video
The HC-WXF991K shoots images at its maximum resolution of 6784 x 3816 pixels in the JPEG format and videos in its highest resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels in the MP4 format. The secondary twin camera built into the edge of the LCD monitor provides a ±20° tilting and a 270° panning for recording two angles simultaneously. The HDR Movie function suppresses blocked shadows and blown highlights for crisper, clearer videos. The 5-axis HYBRID optical image stabilization function suppresses jitters and blurring in your videos when not using a tripod or any other stabilizer.
Other Features
The Panasonic HC-WXF991K features a Wireless Multi-Camera that expands the picture-in-picture recording of the Twin Camera by letting you connect up to three mobile devices over WiFi and use two of them to capture picture-in-picture images. You can also use the WiFi facility to take advantage of image sharing and remote control from a tablet or smartphone by using Panasonic's mobile app. The inbuilt editing tools let you crop your 4K video and add effects such as panning, zooming, tracking, and stabilizing. Moreover, the 1940 mAh 3.6 VDC rechargeable battery pack lasts up to one hour on a single charge.
