Explore your creativity as an avid photographer, with the new Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III Mirrorless Micro 4/3 Digital Camera. It boasts upgraded features, as compared to its predecessor, the OM-D E-M10 Mark II, which will make your photography sessions a more joyful and satisfying experience. The new camera's 16.1 MP Live MOS sensor works in coalition with the Dual Quad-Core TruePic VIII image processor to produce bright and clear pictures, regardless of the lighting condition. When shooting handheld, the 5-axis image-stabilization system prevents camera movements so that you can capture blur-free pictures and videos. This mirrorless camera also offers up to five shooting-assist modes for different subjects, scenes, and moods. In the continuous-shooting mode, this camera can capture images at 8.6 fps. With the in-camera editing function, you can trim your captured footage and extract still photographs from 4K videos. With a BLS-50 rechargeable battery, the camera can take up to 330 shots on a single charge.
Optics and Focus
The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III is designed for micro four thirds lenses. It offers 121 contrast-detection AF points for all-, group-, and single-target captures. The camera also comes with face- and eye-priority AF modes to highlight the subject in the frame. You may use the mechanical shutter for capturing photos of a moving object, without any blurring or distortion in the image. The silent electronic shutter, on the other hand, is ideal for nature photography, where it is imperative that there be no noise to get true, natural captures. The touch AF shutter function lets you select the point of focus on the LCD screen with your finger and capture it directly on it, without having to use the shutter button.
Sensor and Screen
The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III DSLR camera captures vivid photographs and videos, thanks to its 16.1 MP Live MOS sensor. Moreover, a Super Sonic Wave Filter cleans out the dust from the sensor and helps maintain image clarity and contrast. The camera’s OLED electronic viewfinder lets you analyze the scene at hand in 2.36-million-dot resolution, with 100% screen coverage. The magnification offered by the viewfinder stands at around 1.23×. A 3-inch tiltable LCD screen serves as an alternative to the viewfinder, besides facilitating quick changes in camera settings. You can also work from high and low angles with the help of the LCD.
Image and Video
The TruePic VIII image processor in the OM-D E-M10 Mark III camera from Olympus is upgraded from the one in the previous model. The processor makes the latest camera work splendidly in low light. The camera boasts an Advanced Photography mode with a Live Composite function that can convert long-exposure shots into a single photo and create a multi-exposure effect by layering different images on one another. Other features in the photo mode are Live Time, HDR, Silent, Panorama, Keystone Compensation, AE Bracketing, and Focus Bracketing. The camera has up to 15 art filters, including the new bleach-bypass filter. The camera records 4K videos at 30p and full HD videos at 60p. With the interval-timer mode, you can create your own time-lapse videos in 4K, full HD, and HD at 5 fps, 15 fps, and 30 fps, respectively.
Other Features
The built-in WiFi in the new Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark III camera lets you share captured images and videos to any other device. The camera can be paired with your smartphone for remote triggering and tagging your geolocation in the photograph. Along with the built-in flash, the camera also has a hot shoe for mounting an external flash, such as the Super FP and FL-50R. The USB and type-D micro HDMI connectivity options make it possible to playback captured videos and images directly on a PC and an HD TV, respectively. With a fully charged BLS-50 Li-ion battery, the camera can click up to 330 pictures and record videos continuously for up to 140 minutes.
