The lens construction has 10 elements in 9 groups, which include 3 aspherical and 2 Extra-low Dispersion elements. With this zoom lens, you get an angle of view of 86.9°–35°. The inner stepping motor remains noise-free while focusing on an object from a minimum distance of 5 cm. The seven aperture blades are rounded to create a smooth bokeh in the blurred background. Enable the optical image stabilization to reduce camera shakes when shooting with a zoomed-in focal length. The front thread of the lens accepts a 52mm circular filter.
