The Fujifilm GFX 50R Medium Format Mirrorless Camera has a rangefinder-inspired body that contains various imaging features to bring variety to your photography experience. Compatible with GF lenses, the camera has a 43.8×32.9mm medium format CMOS sensor and an X-Processor Pro engine to create the distinct image quality that Fujifilm has a provided over the years. Along with Full HD video capture, the camera is capable of shooting burst images at 3 fps with the electronic shutter. The GFX 50R stays true to its legacy by including the 35mm format mode that takes 36.0mm×24.0mm cropped images in JPEG and RAW. With the 3.2-inch touchscreen LCD, you can frame the scene accurately as well as browse through recorded media easily. The mechanical exposure compensation and shutter speed dials give command over the exposure. You can insert two SD cards in the camera to increase the overall shooting time. The customizable function buttons allow you to assign a frequently used mode for quick access. As for the construction, the camera resists water, dust, and extreme weather down to -10°C.
The Fujifilm GFX 50R accepts a variety of GF lenses on its G-mount. Its short back focus distance prevents vignetting when using wide-angle lenses. Also, the 12 electronic contacts ensure communication between the camera and lens to enable autofocus and image stabilization. The TTL contrast detection AF system comes with three AF modes: Single Point AF, Zone AF, and Wide and Tracking AF. You may also touch a particular point on the LCD to bring it in focus. For manual focusing, the camera includes the focus peaking function. Both electronic and mechanical shutters are incorporated into the camera where the prior ensures a silent operation and the latter provides distortion-free image capture at high speeds.

Apart from the standard JPEG format, you can choose to capture images in 14-bit RAW for utilizing the broad dynamic range in an image editing software. In the video mode, the camera allows Full HD 1080p video recording up to 30 minutes approximately. The X-Processor Pro engine enhances the camera performance to support continuous shooting at up to 3 fps. You can shoot up to 13 JPEG frames and 8 RAW frames in the burst mode. There are 15 film simulation modes in the camera such as ACROS and CLASSIC CHROME to give the unique look of famous Fujifilm rolls.
The camera comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity that allows image transfer and remote control. You can also tag the geographical location of your mobile to the captured image. The drive button can be used to select different shooting modes such as continuous, auto-bracketing, and video. With the dual SD card slots, you can extend the shooting time of the camera. The dedicated exposure compensation and shutter dials give control over the image look. A hot shoe is located at the top for mounting an external flash. The weather-resistant body remains functional in extreme climates, and temperatures down to -10° C. With the fully-charged NP-T125 Li-ion battery, the camera can take up to 400 frames.
