The optical construction of this lens uses 10 elements in 6 groups. The two aspherical elements limits distortion for greater sharpness and accurate rendering. Also, the Super EBC coating reduces lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions. Plus, the rounded 9 blade diaphragm produces a pleasant bokeh effect.
