The lateral chromatic aberration reduction feature offers compensation to the resolving index differences for each color. You can apply different picture controls to the images to define their look. Along with the built-in flash, the Nikon D700 has a hot shoe and PC terminal for connecting an external strobe. An electronic flash can be synchronized with the shutter up to 1/250th of a second.
