The Nikon 500MM F/4 ED P AIS Lens lets you capture distant subjects clearly. It can be mounted in Nikon F cameras. The lens design has 8 elements in 6 groups, including 3 Extra-low Dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberrations. The lens has a manual focusing system that allows you to take photos from a minimum distance of 16.01 feet. There is a meter coupling ridge for exposure metering with AIS cameras and a meter coupling shoe for non-AIS cameras. The fixed tripod collar supports the lens, thus preventing load on the camera mount when installed on a stand.
