The Hasselblad H2 Medium Format Camera takes forward the features of Hasselblad H1 while bringing in new enhancements. It can be used with Hasselblad HC lenses. The camera takes photos on 120 rolls. The automatic ISO adjusts to the light settings to produce clear and well-illuminated results. If you use a barcode film, the camera automatically sets the film speed. The camera allows autofocus and manual focus operation. You can mount an electronic flash to the TTL-hot shoe mount or a flashbulb to the PC terminal. The camera also comes with exposure bracketing of ±5EV for up to 5 frames. You can compose the scene with the HV90 A reflex viewfinder. There are custom functions in the camera to save your settings. The camera runs on an 1850 mAh rechargeable Li-ion battery.
Optics and Focus
The camera is built for Hasselblad HC lenses having an integrated leaf shutter. You can select the exposure method from spot, center-weighted, and average metering. The camera can take photos in conditions from EV2 to EV21. You can adjust the exposure compensation of ±5EV in 1/3 increments. The exposure can be locked with the dedicated button. With the exposure bracketing function, the camera takes up to 5 frames at different exposures to allow you to determine the right shutter speed and ISO speed easily.
Sensor and Screen
The Hasselblad H2 comes with an HV90 A 90° reflex viewfinder that offers 100% field of view to prevent image crop. The viewfinder has a built-in light meter and image magnification of 2.7×. In the viewfinder, you can see the camera information such as shutter speed and film speed. There are three dot-matrix LCDs that present camera settings in an easily-to-understand manner.
Image and Video
The camera is designed for medium format film rolls such as the 120 and 220. For barcoded films, the camera sets the film automatically from ISO 6 to 6400. The camera can take multiple exposures on a single frame to create a unique effect in the photograph. As the Hasselblad H2 has a transport motor, it enables you to advance the film either in 1 shot per exposure or at 2 fps.
Other Features
As the camera is a modular system, you can interchange its parts with other compatible alternatives. The top TTL hot shoe allows you to mount an external flash. You may also connect a flashbulb to the PC terminal. Use the Data Imprint Mode to emboss exposure parameters outside of the image area. A user selectable text string can be imprinted on the photo, allowing you to add personalizes messages on the pictures. The camera has customizable functions such as the "Profile" that saves the current camera settings for quick access. This modular camera also maintains its place in today's digital world as it uses an upgradeable software.
