Optics and Focus
This Minolta camera comes with an MD 50mm f/1.7 lens. The lens is designed with six elements in five groups. Each element is multi-coated to reduce ghosting. The lens operates with a manual focus and can shoot images from the closest distance of 0.45 m. The auto mode in the Minolta X-370 offers quick exposure control based on aperture priority. Moreover, the auto AE lock freezes the exposure setting that is useful when switching between different light conditions. The camera’s maximum ISO limit is 3200 that makes it easy to shoot even in low light. With the shutter speed set at a maximum of 1/1000th of a second, you may click clear photos of moving objects too. The camera has a manual-focusing operation that is done by the split-image rangefinder and microprism screen.
