Overview

THIS IS A USED ITEM
IMAGES ARE FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES ONLY
Condition: Excellent

With its high performance and vast range of features, the Nikon D5 DSLR Camera CF Version offers every professional photographer the best of both worlds. Its 20.8 MP FX-Format CMOS sensor teams up with the EXPEED 5 image processor to render imagery with high image quality and sensitivity, that too at a rapid speed. Use the 153-point Multi-CAM 20K autofocus system for precise focusing on subjects, even when shooting at a burst rate of 12 fps. The camera’s vertical grip makes it convenient to shoot in horizontal and vertical orientations. This camera is made from a dust- and weather-resistant magnesium alloy, making it ideal for use in inclement weather.

Optics and Focus

The D5 DSLR camera from Nikon is compatible with many Nikon F-series lenses that offer impressive focal lengths and apertures. The 153-point Multi-CAM 20K autofocus system enables precise focus on subjects, even when shooting at a 12 fps burst rate. The seven AF modes, including single-areas, dynamic-area, group-area, 3D tracking, and auto-area, help in working with various types of subjects. The shutter speed varies ranges from 30 seconds to 1/8,000th of a second, while the extended ISO sensitivity ranges between 50 and 3,280,000. The exposure and white-balance modes, as well as the metering methods are useful for a variety of photography tasks.

Sensor and Screen

The D5 features a 20.8 MP FX-Format CMOS sensor for capturing high-quality photos and 4K videos. The large, 3.2-inch rear LCD monitor offers a resolution of 2.36 M dots for viewing captured stills and footage, and browsing menus with immense clarity. The bright 0.72× optical pentaprism viewfinder comes with a detachable DK-27 eyepiece adapter for attaching a rain cover when shooting in wet conditions. Both the viewfinder and screen offer a coverage rating of 100%.

Image and Video

In addition to shooting RAW, TIFF, and JPEG images at a 5568×3712-pixel resolution, the Nikon D5 records astounding 4K footage at 30 fps in the MOV and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 formats. The EXPEED 5 image processor renders imagery at a high speed, with quality. You can also capture 200 RAW frames at a burst rate of 12 fps. The Scene Recognition System with 3D Color Matrix Metering III technology uses a 180,000-pixel RGB sensor for evaluating and analyzing aspects such as brightness, subject distance, contrast, and scene colors. This helps to instantly determine the accurate white-balance and exposure settings to best render the scene at hand.

Other Features

This DSLR camera from Nikon is compatible with the separately available WT-6A wireless transmitter for transferring captured content to WiFi-enabled devices. The Picture Control modes allow you to express your creativity on your photographs for numerous photography applications. Made from a dust- and weather-resistant magnesium alloy, this camera is perfect for use in rough weather. Powering this camera is a 2,500 mAh EN-EL18a rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack.
