Megapixels:
A megapixel is one million pixels. It is commonly used to describe the resolution of digital cameras. For example, a 7.2 megapixel camera is capable of capturing roughly 7,200,000 pixels. The higher the megapixel number, the more detail the camera can capture. Therefore, the megapixel count is a significant specification to look for when buying a digital camera.

It features a 24.2 MP DX-format CMOS sensor that works in conjunction with the EXPEED 4 processor to click pictures with notable detail, color accuracy, dynamic range, and low-light sensitivity. The Multi-CAM 1000 autofocus sensor uses 11 distinct AF points to instantly acquire focus in lighting conditions ranging from -1 to +19 EV. You can record Full HD movies at a 1080p resolution with a frame rate of up to 60 fps. Perform continuous shooting of images at a burst rate of up to 5 fps.

Optics and Focus

The D3300 camera body from Nikon is compatible with various lenses that offer outstanding apertures and focal lengths. The Multi-CAM 1000 autofocus sensor uses 11 AF points to acquire focus in lighting conditions ranging from -1 to +19 EV. Use the Active D-Lighting function to preserve both shadow and highlight details when working in contrast-rich scenarios such as back-lit lighting. The ISO sensitivity ranges from 100 to 25,600, while the shutter speed ranges from 30 seconds to 1/4000th of a second. The three metering methods, five exposure modes, and eight white balance modes are useful for a variety of shooting situations.

Sensor and Screen

The Nikon D3300 features a 24.2 MP DX-format CMOS sensor that lets you click pictures with notable detail, color accuracy, dynamic range, and low-light sensitivity. The 3-inch rear LCD screen comes with a resolution of 921,000 dots and a diagonal viewing angle of 160.0° to view captured content and browse menus with immense clarity. The pentamirror viewfinder allows you to view subjects clearly, even under bright sunlight, and comes with a magnification rating of about 0.85x.

Image and Video

The Nikon D3300 camera captures images at its highest resolution of 6000 x 4000 pixels in the JPEG and RAW formats. You can record Full HD movies at a 1080p resolution with a frame rate of up to 60 fps in the MOV and MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 formats. The EXPEED 4 processor can process both videos and images at a high speed without compromising on quality. Shoot continuous images at a burst rate of up to 5 fps. The Easy Panorama Mode makes it convenient to take panoramic photos by enabling you to capture a single high-resolution image by just panning across the scene.

Other Features

The numerous image editing functions in the D3300 come in handy for various photography tasks. The built-in iTTL flash syncs at a speed of up to 1/200th of a second to get the ideal flash for your photos, even in dim areas. You can view your captured images and videos from your camera directly on a television screen by linking both the two with an inbuilt HDMI C port.
