Overview

The Sony A7R is the world's Lightest full frame mirrorless camera with interchangeable lens feature. It has an Exmor CMOS sensor with a resolution of 36.3 MP. The camera is powered by a BIONZ X image processor that gives you faster processing speed, better color reproduction and light sensitivity. The camera is loaded with advanced feature which makes it fast and highly efficient. This camera has a 2.4 M dots XGA OLED Viewfinder which helps you to view images in rich tonal range and better contrast. It provides 100 percent frame coverage enabling you to compose shots accurately.

Optics and Focus

The camera has an E-mount which makes its compatible with a wide range of lenses ranging from wide angle to telephoto range. These E-mount lenses give you excellent quality performance with it premium optics from Carl Zeiss and Sony premier G Series. The Image stabilization feature of the camera eliminates the blur caused by minor hand movements giving you crisp image quality. The camera has a fast and accurate Contrast detection AF system which gives you crisp and sharp focusing. The AF illuminator feature helps you to get maximum focus even in low light conditions.

Sensor and Display

The camera has 36.3 Mp full frame Exmor CMOS sensor. The high resolution and of the camera provides superb details and magnificent quality. With 36.3 MP pixel one can easily enlarge or crop an image without worrying about any loss of image quality. The camera is powered by a BIONZ X image processor which gives you faster response rate and better color reproduction. It also improves the light sensitivity of the camera enabling you to capture rich and vibrant pictures even in low light conditions. This camera has a 3 inch tiltable Xtra Fine LCD screen with a resolution of 1,229K dots. The white magic technology of the screen dramatically increases the visibility of the screen in bright daylight. It offers a 100 percent frame coverage for accurate framing of the images.

Images and Videos

The camera is loaded with advanced feature that help you in enriching the image and video quality of the camera. The auto high dynamic range of the produces images with excellent details and tonal quality automatically. The sweep panorama enables you to compose magnificent panoramic shoot by just sweeping you camera. It enables both horizontal as well as vertical panorama. The face detection feature of the camera detects faces and gives maximum focus to it. The camera can detect as many as eight faces in a particular composition. This camera can record video in Full HD 1080p at frame rate of 60p. The high frame rate and resolution produces magnificent cinema-like video quality.

Other features

The camera has an inbuilt WiFi system which enables you to share your picture and video to your smartphone instantly and wirelessly. It also allows you to control the shutter release of the camera from your smartphone using WiFi. The camera is capable of producing Ultra High Definition 4K slide shows which can be view on a 4K TV directly from the camera using HDMI connection4 or WiFi. The camera has a body which is less than half the size of a conventional full frame camera, making it extremely easy to handle and convenient to carry around.
