A megapixel is one million pixels. It is commonly used to describe the resolution of digital cameras. For example, a 7.2 megapixel camera is capable of capturing roughly 7,200,000 pixels. The higher the megapixel number, the more detail the camera can capture. Therefore, the megapixel count is a significant specification to look for when buying a digital camera.

The Fujifilm X-H1 Mirrorless Digital Camera is a one-stop solution for obtaining high-quality results for both photo and video applications. Along with the camera, you get the verticle power booster grip to extend the overall shooting time. The camera has a 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor that works in tandem with the X-Processor Pro engine to reduce noise while providing high sensitivity in low light. The camera offers DCI 4K resolution videos at a frame rate of 24 fps. With the internal F-log recording, the camera shoots videos in a flat profile for retaining all the image details that are adjustable during post-production. Along with standard film simulation modes, the X-H1 includes ETERNA that gives the cinematic film stock look having understated colors and rich shadow tones. You can use two SD cards with the camera to continue shooting during extended schedules.

Optics and Focus

The camera is compatible with all X-series lenses. You can select the exposure mode from average, center-weighted average, multi-zone, and spot metering. The camera has a 325-point intelligent hybrid autofocus system for providing accurate focusing performance. These focus points are selectable using the dedicated focus lever. The AF-C focus mode is also enhanced to allow customization of response speed and tracking sensitivity. This Fuji mirrorless camera comes with a 5-way sensor-shift image stabilizer that compensates vibrations for up to 5.5 stops.

Sensor and Screen

The Fujifilm X-H1 uses the 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor. As the optical low-pass filter is omitted from the sensor, you get high-degree of sharpness in the image. Moreover, the X-Trans design creates an organic film look having nuanced colors and smooth tonal transitions. You can tilt the 3.0-inch, 1.04m-dot LCD to view the scene from high or low angles. The camera also has an electronic viewfinder with the 3.69m-dot resolution for crystal clear eye-level scene composition. With the refresh rate up to 100 fps, the EVF offers smooth motion during fast pan and tilt movements.

Image and Video

The Fuji X-H1 mirrorless digital camera provides 6000×4000 pixel images in JPEG or RAW format. You can use the camera for professional video production as it offers DCI 4K video resolutions at 24 fps. The camera also allows video capture in DCI 2K. When you select the 1080p resolution, the camera can shoot videos up to a frame rate of 120 fps for creating smooth slow-motion effects. The internal F-Log Gamma recording preserves the image details to provide flexibility during post-production. Along with standard film simulation modes, the X-H1 includes the ETERNA that softens the skin tone, desaturates colors, and enriches shadow tones.

Other Features

The built-in Wi-Fi enables you to transfer images to smartphones and remote control the camera. With the dual SD slots, you can extend the shooting time of the camera. There are custom buttons on the camera for planing the control layout. An external flash attached to the hot shoe contact. The included vertical power booster grip adds to the performance of the X-H1 by increasing the continuous shooting rate up to 30 minutes. Just like the camera, the battery grip has AE-L, AF-ON, and Fn buttons as well as a shutter release button. The grip has a 3.5mm headphone jack for monitoring the audio recording. This Fujifilm mirrorless camera is powered by an NP-W126S Li-ion battery pack. Both the booster grip and camera body are made of magnesium alloy and have weather-resistant sealing.
