The Tamron SP 150 to 600 mm F/5 to 6.3 Di VC USD Lens is suitable for use with Canon cameras with APS-C and full-frame sensors. It offers a zoom of 4x and covers the telephoto to super-telephoto range. This makes it a suitable choice for sports, nature, and wildlife photography. Featuring a lens construction of 20 elements across 13 groups, it also has 3 aspherical elements built into the first group to cope with on-axis optical aberrations that occur across the entire zoom range. Every photo that you click will feature excellent contrast and great color rendition, thanks to the eBAND and BBAR coating on the lens elements. By reducing the ghosting and lens flares that shoot up when light bounces of the sensor, this lens provides you with amazingly clear images. The VC (Vibration Compensation) mechanism of this lens helps smoothen out image blurring caused by camera shakes. This lets you shoot brilliant photos at high shutter speeds in low light conditions without even using a tripod. In addition, the USD (Ultra Sonic Drive) facilitates a quiet, accurate, and fast autofocus operation.

delivers sharp pictures

This Tamron lens for Nikon has been an excellent buy for me. And for this price, it is quite a bargain. It delivers sharp images with acute detailing. It is slightly heavy, but I can still hand hold it without any pressure. For now, I am using this lens for semi wildlife photography and some portraits. The results have been pretty satisfying as this telephoto lens is fast and delivers sharp pictures. I would highly recommend this lens as it is a great purchase.

I purchased the Tamron lens for Nikon last week. It will take a little practice to get good results with the lens at 600mm. But I have already garnered some amazing results using it with a gimbal with VC off. The finish is flawless and I couldn’t have asked for more. I have not tried using it without the tripod as it prefer it that way. The result it offers are commendable. This telephoto lens replaced my old Tokina 150-500mm and I am extremely happy with it.

quick and accurate focus

Despite being the heaviest telephoto lens I have ever used, it is still manageable free hand. The VC makes it possible to get decent images at 1/60 Sec at 600mm.Probably, you can use a monopod or other support with this lens on extended outings. I used this Tamron lens for Nikon with a monopod. And it delivered outstanding results. Construction quality is very good, and the lens locks at 150mm and 400mm to prevent unintended extension. Kudos to Tamron for such a good product.

surely worth the price

I have tried this Tamron lens for Nikon on three devices: D5000, D7000 and DF. The focus is quick and accurate, and I have seen nothing to indicate front or back focusing. Achieving focus can be troublesome at longer focal length as holding the focus point on small subjects can be difficult, but that is user dependent. When a focal point with some contrast was chosen, the lens worked flawlessly. I have not tried BIFs or rapidly moving objects yet. The zoom action of this telephoto lens is smooth with a long rotation; the focus ring works great, and the action is excellent. It is surely worth the price.

stable and lightweight

I recently bought this Tamron lens for Nikon. The well-researched optical design reduces the movement of lens groups while focusing and zooming in order to maintain an impressively stable and lightweight form-factor. This telephoto lens is apt for a wide range of photography variations that involve dealing with different subjects at a same time. Its quiet operation and low response time come very handy while clicking outdoor portraits and wildlife landscapes.
