The Sony HDR-AS50 with RM-LVR2 Live-View Remote is a versatile Full HD Action Cam that takes the concept of cinematography and photography to a whole new level. It is equipped with an 11.1 MP 1/2.3 type, back-illuminated ""Exmor R"" CMOS sensor that allows you to capture astounding videos and still images. The advanced BIONZ X image processor makes the task of recording fast moves and smooth action by up to 50 Mbps in a Full HD format an easy one. The ZEISS Tessar lens lets you shoot aerial shots and landscapes with amazing panoramic viewing angles. Furthermore, this action cam is waterproof by up to 60 m, freezeproof by up to -10° C, dustproof, and shockproof by up to 1.5 m by using the included underwater housing.

Optics and Focus

The HDR-AS50 action cam from Sony features the ZEISS Tessar lens, which has a maximum aperture of f/2.8 and a focal length ranging from 0.72 to 0.86 inches. It is perfect for shooting aerial shots and landscapes with amazing panoramic viewing angles. The adjustable zoom and FOV allow you to shoot at an angle of your choice. The White Balance modes are useful for assisting in various shooting situations. Also, this action cam comes with a Multi-segment exposure mode and a shutter speed ranging from 1/30 of a second to 1/10,000 of a second.
