The Sony FDR-X1000V 4K Action Cam with Live View Remote Bundle FDRX1000VR/W is a compact and resourceful camera that every cinematographer would love to have. It's useful for recording crystal-clear videos at either a 3840 x 2160p 4K resolution or 240p and 120p HD resolutions. The trademark SteadyShot image stabilization function is ideal for extreme camera angles that are shot airborne or from a bike. The universal tripod mount lets you mount the action cam on a large variety of tripods for added versatility. The inbuilt stereo microphone records high-quality audio with reduced wind noise for enhanced clarity.

Optics and Focus

The Sony FDR-X1000V 4K Action Cam is equipped with a Zeiss Tessar lens that boasts a maximum aperture of f/2.8 as well as a focal distance of 3.0 mm. It can also shoot at a viewing angle of 170° and 120° in the normal mode and SteadyShot mode respectively. The shutter speed of the lens ranges from 1/30 - 1/10,000 at 30 fps. The three different white balance modes featured in this action cam are auto, custom, and color temp.

Sensor and Screen

The action cam’s 8.8 MP 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor can shoot incredible videos as well as photos. The small, square-shaped screen on the side of the camera displays certain information about the camera’s current status.

Feel free to record crystal-clear videos at either a 3840 x 2160p 4K resolution or the 240p and 120p HD resolutions. Capture photos in the JPEG format at its maximum resolution of 3952 x 2224p.
