Its optics comprise 13 elements in 10 groups, apart from 2 FLD elements and 2 SLD elements that minimize chromatic aberrations and color fringing to deliver immense clarity and accurate colors. The Super Multi-Layer Coating on the lens reduces ghosting and flares, in order to produce a rich contrast and neutral colors, even in backlight. The large Hyper Sonic Motor allows the lens to get a quick, accurate autofocus of the subject. Further, the nine-blade, rounded diaphragm comes in handy for producing a gorgeous bokeh effect on images. With the separately available Sigma USB Dock, you can effortlessly update the firmware and fine-tune the characteristics of the lens. Made from a Thermally Stable Composite material and ordinary metals, the lens has immense durability.
