Overview

Compact and versatile, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS70 Digital Camera - Black is an advanced gadget for casual photography. It is equipped with a 20.3 MP 1/2.3-inch High-Sensitivity MOS sensor for capturing pictures and 4K UHD videos with rich image quality, high sensitivity, and reduced noise. Use the 5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S. technology for compensating for various forms of camera movements in order to capture sharp imagery, even in dim-lighting conditions. The Post Focus function teams up with the intelligent Depth from Defocus (DFD) technology and the contrast-detection focusing system for selecting a specific focus point after shooting a scene. Also, the built-in WiFi function enables you to transfer photos and movies to various devices, and control the camera remotely.

Optics and Focus

This Lumix camera’s inbuilt Leica DC Vario-Elmar 30× zoom lens, which provides a focal length of 24–720mm and an aperture of f/3.3–6.4, features an optical construction of 12 elements in 9 groups, as well as 5 double-sided aspherical elements. These help minimize spherical aberrations and distortions across the zoom range for increased sharpness and clarity. The Post Focus function combines with the advanced Depth from Defocus (DFD) technology and the contrast-detection focusing system so that you can select a particular focus point every time you shoot a scene. The electronic shutter operates at a speed of up to 1/16,000th of a second, while the ISO sensitivity can be adjusted between 80 and 6,400 in the extended mode. The 5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S. technology makes it possible to capture sharp imagery in dim light by compensating for various forms of camera movement.

Sensor and Screen

The Lumix DMC-ZS70’s 20.3 MP 1/2.3-inch High-Sensitivity MOS sensor enables you to capture photos and 4K UHD footage with astounding image quality, high sensitivity, and less noise. The 3-inch tiltable rear LCD touchscreen comes with a resolution of 1,040,000 dots for accessing menus and viewing your captured content with incredible clarity. The 1.166 M-dot electronic viewfinder serves as a practical alternative to the touchscreen when taking pictures under ambient lighting conditions. Both the touchscreen and viewfinder offer a 100% coverage.

Image and Video

The Lumix DMC-ZS70 from Panasonic can record 4K UHD footage at 30p in the MP4 format, apart from capturing JPEG and RAW stills at a 5184×3888-pixel resolution. You can also perform burst shooting of pictures at a rate of 10 fps. Further, the 4K Burst, 4K Pre-Burst, and 4K Burst (S/S) modes are useful for a variety of photography tasks.

Other Features

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS70’s built-in WiFi function allows you to control the camera remotely, as also transfer stills and footage to numerous WiFi-enabled devices. The Picture Adjustment settings, as well as the Creative Control, Still Image Scene Guide, and Photo Style modes let you add some creativity to your pictures. You can expand the internal storage capacity of this camera by inserting an SD, SDHC, or SDXC card. Powering this nimble camera is a 1025 mAh rechargeable Lithium-ion battery pack.
