Megapixels:
A megapixel is one million pixels. It is commonly used to describe the resolution of digital cameras. For example, a 7.2 megapixel camera is capable of capturing roughly 7,200,000 pixels. The higher the megapixel number, the more detail the camera can capture. Therefore, the megapixel count is a significant specification to look for when buying a digital camera.

    Overview

With its compact size and advanced technology, the Nikon D5600 DX-format DSLR with AF-P DX NIKKOR 18–55 mm f/3.5–5.6G VR Black is a must-have for both beginner and professional photographers. It is equipped with a 24.2 MP DX-Format sensor that operates in tandem with the EXPEED 4 processor for rendering videos and images with remarkable detail, dynamic range, color accuracy, and low-light sensitivity. Use the 39-point Multi-CAM 4800DX autofocus system with 9 cross-type sensors for instantly acquiring focus in lighting conditions, ranging between -1 and +19 EV. The inbuilt SnapBridge app, with the help of Bluetooth as well as NFC and WiFi connectivity technologies, makes it easy to transfer imagery to a mobile device effortlessly.

    Optics and Focus

The Nikon D5600 DSLR camera comes with an AF-P DX NIKKOR 18–55 mm f/3.5–5.6G VR lens, which has a pair of aspherical elements and a super-integrated coating for suppressing lens flares and ghosting. It also has a Vibration Reduction image-stabilization function that reduces camera shakes, especially when shooting handheld. The 39-point Multi-CAM 4800DX autofocus system, with 9 cross-type sensors, instantly acquires focus in lighting conditions that vary from -1 to +19 EV. The shutter speed of this camera ranges between 30 seconds and 1/4000th of a second, and the ISO sensitivity is in the range of 100–25,600. Moreover, the metering methods, along with the white-balance and exposure modes, assist in a wide range of photography situations.

    Sensor and Screen

The D5600 features a 24.2 MP DX-Format sensor that allows you to shoot high-quality photos and Full HD videos with astounding detail, dynamic range, low-light sensitivity, and color accuracy. The 3.2-inch vari-angle touchscreen provides a viewing angle of 170° and a 1.04 million-dot resolution for brilliant clarity during playback, navigation through settings menus, and shooting in the live-view mode. The eye-level pentamirror optical viewfinder comes in handy for viewing your subjects clearly, even in sunlight, where it becomes complicated to use the touchscreen.

    Image and Video

In addition to capturing JPEG and RAW pictures at its highest resolution of 6000x4000 pixels, the Nikon D5600 records 1080p Full HD videos in the MOV format at 60 fps. Shoot pictures in a continuous manner at a 5-fps burst rate. The EXPEED 4 processor renders Full HD videos and images at a high speed, without compromising on quality. The time-lapse movie-recording mode is useful for making creative videos of subjects changing over periods of time. Also, the Active D-Lighting function makes it possible to preserve shadow and highlight details while working in backlit lighting and other contrast-rich scenarios.

    Other Features

This camera’s integrated SnapBridge app enables you to transfer captured content to a Bluetooth-enabled device. You can do the same by using NFC or WiFi. The various scene and special-effect modes allow you to get creative with your photos. The inbuilt pop-up flash makes it easy to shoot bright pictures, even in dark areas. This DSLR is powered by a 1230 mAh EN-EL14a rechargeable Lithium-Ion battery pack.

    Elements / Groups:
The individual pieces of glass that form the overall optical construction. Most lenses have between four and eleven elements to bend the light rays to ensure a perfectly formed image appears on the light sensitive surface, such as a film or CCD. The elements are arranged in groups and may be seen in specification sheets as, for example, 6 elements in 4 groups. That configuration may have two single elements and the other four grouped in pairs.
