VR on/off mode available. 5 Extra-low Dispersion (ED) elements reduce chromatic aberrations providing superior optical performance even at maximum aperture. Internal Focusing (IF) design for smoother focusing and great body balance. No power consumption during manual focus operation. Focuses as close as 4.9ft (AF) 4.6ft (MF). Detachable tripod mounting collar provided. New G-design enables apertures to be selected from select Nikon AF SLR camera bodies. Nikon VR (Vibration Reduction) Image Stabilization Vibration Reduction, engineered specifically for each VR NIKKOR lens, enables handheld shooting at up to 3 shutter speeds slower than would otherwise be possible, assuring dramatically sharper still images and video capture.
