Overview

Capture your child's cute side in a frame with this Nikon D3400 DSLR Triple Lens Parents Camera Kit. It includes a Nikon D3400 DSLR camera, an AF-P DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens, AF-P DX 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED lens, AF-S DX 35mm f/1.8G lens, camera bag, shutter huggers monkey, and a MPIX photo album voucher. The camera has 24.2MP CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 processor. Its multi-cam 1000 AF sensor offers quick focusing in varied light conditions. Nikon D3400 supports full HD video recording at 60 fps. With the 3.0-inch LCD monitor, you get a viewing angle of 170°. A flash is incorporated in the camera as well as a hot shoe for attaching an external flash.

Optics and Focus

This camera kit includes two AF-P lenses and one AF-S lens, having a focal length of 18–55mm, 70–300mm, and 35mm respectively. The 18–55mm and 70–300mm lenses have 12 elements in 9 groups and 14 elements in 10 groups respectively. As for the 35mm prime lens, it includes 8 elements arranged in 6 groups. Two aspherical elements are included in 18–55mm AF-P, one ED element in AF-P 70–300mm and one hybrid aspherical lens element is included in the 35mm lens. A super-integrated coating is applied to elements of all three lenses for capturing vibrant and clear images without ghosting and lens flare. For autofocusing, the 15–55mm and 70–300mm lenses use the pulse stepping motor AF system while the 35mm prime lens has a Silent Wave AF motor. All three lenses have a 7-blade diaphragm. The two zoom lenses come with a Vibration Reduction image stabilizer that compensates for the camera shake.

Sensor and Screen

The camera uses a 24.2MP CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 image processor to provide a native ISO sensitivity up to 25600 for shooting in varied light conditions. Additionally, a low-pass filter in the sensor ensures improved sharpness and detail in both photos and videos. With the rear 3-inch LCD screen, the camera offers access to different functions and settings. The LCD provides a 100% screen coverage and viewing angle of 170°. A pentamirror viewfinder is also included in the camera, which has 0.85× magnification and lets you adjust the diopter between -1.7 and +0.5 m.

Image and Video

This Nikon D3400 DSLR captures 12-bit images with a maximum resolution of 6000×4000 in JPEG and RAW format. When it comes to video recording, the camera shoots 1080p videos at 60 fps. The camera has a continuous shooting mode that clicks images at 5 fps. A range of exposure and white-balance modes are included in the camera, which allows you to give uniqueness to the captured photos and videos.

Other Features

With the included SnapBridge Bluetooth connectivity, the camera lets you share captured images and videos to mobile devices as well as create a backup in Nikon Image Space. Also, the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) transfers 2MP images to your connected mobile automatically. The camera can deliver 1200 shots on a fully charged EN-EL14a Li-ion battery. Along with the camera and lenses, a shutter huggers monkey is included in the kit as well as a MPIX photo album voucher. You also get access to Nikon School Online class featuring Tamara Lackey.
