Join award-winning international Travel and Adventure photographer Jim DeLillo and learn how to create photographs that are lit from within. This workshop includes a seminar and on-location shoot later on in the evening.
Seminar: Sunday, November 19th (3:00pm - 5:00pm)
Learn special techniques, tools, and settings to bring out the best in your photos of night-time subjects. Topics include: choosing a dark location; selecting a suitable subject; night Sky apps for your phone and PC; recommended lenses and equipment; camera settings; light sources; foreground and light painting; Lightroom and Photoshop post-processing.
Outdoor Shoot: Sunday, November 19th (6:00pm - 8:00pm)
With the lessons from the seminar in mind, you'll travel to the Sheep Hill Observatory (300 Ross Dr, Boonton, NJ 07005) to meet up with Jim and the rest of the group. It's only about 20 minutes away from Unique, and you'll practice shooting the observatory building and night sky with Jim's help.
*Transportation to the shoot location is NOT included.
*Please dress for the cold weather. No open shoes.
*Bring a headlamp or flashlight.
*Bring a camera and tripod.
*There will be limited parking at the Observatory. Carpooling is encouraged.
