Overview

The Fujifilm X-E3 is a mirrorless digital camera that brings high-powered imaging functions and a customizable AF mode in your palms. It comes along with an FX 23mm f/2 lens and a Fujifilm Share SP-3 SQ printer. The camera shows its imaging prowess with the 24.3MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor and X-Processor Pro engine. It offers 4K and 1080p video recording at respective frame rates of 30 and 60 fps. The continuous shooting mode offers 14 burst images in a second. With the 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD, you can adjust the focus point and image zoom by using finger gestures. The built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable wireless image transfer to smartphone devices and remote operation of the camera.

Optics and Focus

The Fujifilm XF 23mm f/2 lens is provided with the X-E3 mirrorless camera. Other X-series lenses can be mounted to the camera as well. The lens has an optical construction of 10 elements in 6 groups with two aspherical elements to reduce distortion at the edges. Also, the Super Electron Beam Coating suppresses lens flare and ghosting. The internal stepping motor AF system works silently while maintaining precision. Also, it works with the camera's 91-point hybrid AF system that uses both phase and contrast detection points and an updated AF algorithm to improve the responsiveness and accuracy in subject tracking. Returning to the lens, its diaphragm has nine rounded blades to create pleasing bokeh in the background. Get complete control over the exposure with the dedicated shutter speed and exposure compensation dials.

Sensor and Screen

The Fujifilm X-E3 comes with the APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor that omits the low-pass filter to increase image sharpness. Additionally, its X-Trans design produces nuanced colors and smooth tonal gradations. The 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD not only offers a 1.04m-dot resolution live view but also allows image capture with a single tap. You can use simple finger gestures to adjust the focus point and zoom-in or out from an image. Alternatively, the 2.36m-dot OLED viewfinder ensures lag-free eye-level composition with its smooth refresh rate of 54.54 fps.

Image and Video

This Fujifilm mirrorless camera offers in 4K video recording at 30 fps. You may choose the 1080p option to get a high frame rate of 60 fps for creating slow-motion effects during post-production. You can also capture photos in JPEG or RAW with a maximum resolution of 6000×4000 pixels. The X-Processor Pro engine makes the camera deliver high-quality results in low light. With the continuous shooting mode, the camera captures burst images at a speed of 14 fps. The advanced SR mode adjusts the imaging setting to get appropriate exposure and color temperature. Use the Film Simulation modes to give the unique look of classic Fujifilm rolls. You may also apply one of the grain effects or advanced filters to the images.

Other Features

The built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connectivity lets you link a smartphone to enable image transfer and remote control. Mount an external flash to the hot shoe contact and synchronize with the shutter speed at 1/180th of a second. The front focusing lever gives control over the focus points when composing the scene through the viewfinder. The included Fujifilm SP-3 SQ printer converts a digital image into a 2.4×2.4-inch instant photo in 13 seconds. It is compatible with Instax Square instant films. The Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to print photos stored on your smartphone.
