Megapixels:
A megapixel is one million pixels. It is commonly used to describe the resolution of digital cameras. For example, a 7.2 megapixel camera is capable of capturing roughly 7,200,000 pixels. The higher the megapixel number, the more detail the camera can capture. Therefore, the megapixel count is a significant specification to look for when buying a digital camera.

Overview

The Fujifilm X-T3 Mirrorless Digital Camera is packed with professional features that give more control over the image look than its predecessor, the X-T2. The camera is supplied with the Fujifilm XF 18–55mm zoom lens. The 26.1 MP APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 sensor works with the X-Processor 4 engine to produce vibrant crystal clear images and videos. The Fujifilm X-T3 provides UHD 4K videos at a frame rate of 60 fps that is two times more than the X-T2. In the continuous shooting mode, the camera shoots burst photos at 11 fps for up to 145 JPEG frames. Capture videos using the F-Log Gamma to preserve the shadow and highlights for allowing flexible color grading with LUT packs. Transfer photos to smartphones or tablets with the built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth 4.2 LE. The dual SD card slots double the overall shooting time of the camera. As the camera chassis is built from magnesium alloy, it can be carried comfortably without putting a strain on your hands. Moreover, the weather-resistant sealing protects the internal parts of the camera from dust and moisture.

Optics and Focus

The included Fujifilm XF 18–55mm zoom lens offers versatility whether capturing wide-angle or close-up shots. This Fuji camera accepts other X-series lenses as well. The lens construction has 14 elements in 10 groups that include three aspherical and a single Extra-low Dispersion element to correct spherical and chromatic aberrations. A linear AF motor is incorporated into the lens, which provides quiet and quick autofocusing performance. The optical image stabilization brings down the effects of camera shakes. The 7-blade diaphragm enhances the depth of field by creating smooth light iris in the background. As for the camera, its phase-detection autofocusing system utilizes 2.16 million AF points that cover a majority of the imaging frame to offer accuracy.

Sensor and Screen

The imaging capabilities of the Fujifilm X-T3 are powered by the 26.1 MP APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 sensor. It doesn't have a low-pass filter that allows the sensor to render sharp imagery. The X-Trans also gives an organic look that film rolls provide. The 3.0-inch, 1.04m-dot LCD makes it easy to compose shots of different angles with its 3-way tilting design. Moreover, the touchscreen functionality of the LCD lets you access various camera functions easily. An OLED viewfinder is located on the top that gives a live view of the scene in 2.36m-dot resolution and allows you to see the results of altering the exposure in real time. The EVF's maximum refresh rate of 100 fps minimizes lag to enable quick pan and tilt movements.

Image and Video

The Fujifilm X-T3 produces still images with a resolution up to 6240×4160 pixels in JPEG and RAW formats. You can record videos in UHD 4K at a maximum frame rate of 60 fps that enables the creation of slow-motion videos. The continuous shooting mode captures at 11 fps with the mechanical shutter 30 fps with the electronic shutter. The X-Processor 4 engine supports the UHD video recording and continuous shooting by boosting the camera performance. With the Film Simulation modes, you can modify the look of both photos and videos to mimic pictures taken from classic Fujifilm rolls.

Other Features

The Fujifilm X-T3 synchronizes with your smartphone via Bluetooth 4.2 LE or Wi-Fi to allow image transfer and remote control. There are two SD slots provided on the camera that let you double the overall shooting time. The hot shoe contact is incorporated for the attachment of an electronic flash, while the PC terminal is provided for connecting a flashbulb. You can record and monitor audio using the 1/8-inch audio-in and audio-out ports. The X-T3's lightweight magnesium alloy chassis is sealed to resists extreme weathers. This new Fujifilm camera is powered by an NP-W126S Li-ion battery pack. You can extend the shooting time using the included Fujifilm X-T3 vertical battery grip. It accommodates two NP-W126S rechargeable Li-ion batteries. There are secondary controls on the vertical side for shutter release, AE-L, AF-L, Q, and Fn along with front and rear command dials and a focus lever. The battery grip matches the weather-resistant construction of the camera.

The individual pieces of glass that form the overall optical construction. Most lenses have between four and eleven elements to bend the light rays to ensure a perfectly formed image appears on the light sensitive surface, such as a film or CCD. That configuration may have two single elements and the other four grouped in pairs.
