Megapixels:
A megapixel is one million pixels. It is commonly used to describe the resolution of digital cameras. For example, a 7.2 megapixel camera is capable of capturing roughly 7,200,000 pixels. The higher the megapixel number, the more detail the camera can capture. Therefore, the megapixel count is a significant specification to look for when buying a digital camera.

Overview

When it comes to taking aerial shots at unbelievable resolutions, the DJI Zenmuse X5S With Lens is an ideal gadget. It is equipped with an improved 20.8 MP Micro 4/3 CMOS sensor that offers a 12.8-stop dynamic range, an impressive color sensitivity, and a good signal-to-noise ratio for capturing high-quality imagery with low noise in low-light areas. The highly optimized, 3-axis gimbal offers a precise motor rotation with a ±0.01° control accuracy, powered by a dedicated processor for added stability. This does away with the need for a separate image stabilizer. The CineCore 2.0 image processor renders 5.2K CinemaDNG video and Apple ProRes videos at 30 fps, along with 4K 30 fps videos and 4K 60 fps with the H.265 and H.264 codecs, respectively.

Optics and Focus

The Zenmuse X5S is compatible with a variety of micro four thirds lenses that offer decent apertures and focal lengths. The 3-axis gimbal is immensely optimized to rotate the motor with a control accuracy of about ±0.01°, thus providing camera stability. This eliminates the need for the camera to have a stand-alone image stabilizer. The shutter operates at its maximum speed of 1/8,000th of a second, whereas the ISO ranges from 100 to 25,600 and 6,400 for images and videos, respectively. The metering, white-balance, and exposure modes come in handy for a wide range of shooting situations. Moreover, you can adjust the focus across the transmission range by using the optional DJI Focus.

Sensor and Screen

This camera features a 20.8 MP Micro 4/3 CMOS sensor that provides a 12.8-stop dynamic range, as well as outstanding color sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio for shooting high-quality footage and images with low noise, even in dark areas.

Image and Video

The Zenmuse X5S from DJI can record 5.2K professional-quality Apple ProRes and CinemaDNG footage, as well as 5280x2970-pixel JPEG, DNG+JPEG, and DNG pictures at an aspect ratio of 16:9. The CineCore 2.0 image processor can render both footage and stills with a blend of speed and accuracy. You can shoot JPEG+DNG pictures continuously at a maximum burst rate of 14 fps.

Other Features

The DJI Zenmuse X5S’s highly optimized FAT32/exFAT file system, along with the DJI CINESSD card, enables you to transfer your captured content directly to a computer at high speeds via the DJI CINESSD STATION card reader without the assistance of any additional software. The camera’s settings, when connected to the DJI Inspire 2 quadcopter, can be adjusted remotely by using the DJI GO 4 app.
