An ASC (Air-Asphere Coating) has also been applied to reduce backlit flaring & ghosting, for high contrast and maintained light transmission in strong lighting scenarios.
The RF 15-35mm f/2.8 L IS USM features an Optical Image Stabilizer, which is included to minimize the appearance of camera shake by 5 stops. The O.I.S. improves your ability to work in low-light conditions, as well as the use of slower shutter speeds. A Nano USM system is featured as well, & includes both a ring type USM & an STM mechanism, allowing the lens to realize fast and accurate focusing with a smooth & nearly silent focusing performance. The Nano USM system's ability to perform in a quiet manner is extremely helpful during video and photography applications. The system also affords full-time manual focus control while working in "one-shot AF" mode.
A configurable control ring is featured to adjust a variety of exposure settings, such as aperture, ISO, & exposure compensation. This L-series lens features a physical design that makes it weather-resistant & protected against dust and moisture.
