Megapixels:
A megapixel is one million pixels. It is commonly used to describe the resolution of digital cameras. For example, a 7.2 megapixel camera is capable of capturing roughly 7,200,000 pixels. The higher the megapixel number, the more detail the camera can capture. Therefore, the megapixel count is a significant specification to look for when buying a digital camera.

Overview

Capture memorable moments in Full HD with the Fujifilm FinePix XP130. With this compact digital camera, you can also capture 16.4 MP images. The camera has an integrated Fujinon 5× optical zoom lens and a 16.4 MP BSI CMOS sensor to provide high-quality pictures and videos. Freeze a fast-paced action in a series of sequential shots with the continuous shooting mode at 10 fps. The 3-inch 920K-dot LCD makes scene composition as easy task. Fuse both still image and video together in the Cinemagraph mode. The interval shooting mode records cinematic time-lapse sequences. Transfer images to smartphones or wireless photo printers with the built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The front grip and rear thumb rest ensure a secure and comfortable grip. This camera body resists shock, water, dust, and extreme cold temperature.

Optics and Focus

The Fujinon 5× optical zoom lens provides a 35mm equivalent focal range of 28–140mm. Its optical construction of the lens includes 13 elements arranged in 11 groups. Of these, four are aspherical lenses that reduce spherical distortion to improve image quality. You can vary the lens aperture from f/3.9 to F/8. This camera gives a 10× intelligent digital zoom apart from the 5× optical zoom. The camera's ISO range can be extended up to 6400 for shooting in dim-lit conditions. Speed-up the shutter up to 1/2000th of a second to capture detailed images of moving objects.

Sensor and Screen

The 16.4 MP BSI CMOS sensor ensures high-quality images and videos by sensing the colors accurately. Thanks to the back-illuminated design, the image sensor reduces the noise when shooting in low-light conditions. The 3.0-inch LCD lets you view the shot in 920K-dot resolution. Also, the LCD allows you to playback recorded videos and pictures. To improve visibility in bright conditions, an anti-reflective coating is applied on the LCD.

Image and Video

The camera captures still images with a maximum resolution of 4608×3456 dpi in JPEG format. As per video recording, the camera offers 1080p Full HD videos at 60 fps in H.264 or MOV formats. The continuous shooting mode enables burst image capture of 16.4 MP images at 10 fps. You can also take continuous shots at 60 fps for up to 70 frames. The sensor-shift image stabilization minimizes the effects of camera shakes. With the electronic level, you can align the horizon in the scene. The camera maintains the color balance and vivid details in the picture with the dedicated underwater shooting modes.

Other Features

The Fujifilm FinePix XP130 digital camera has a built-in flash with 7 sync modes. Send images to smartphones by enabling the built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The wind filter keeps the noise created by the breeze down. This digital camera comes with the auto time adjustment and geotagging function that imprints the name of the place where you have captured the photo. The noise cancellation ensures a quiet operation for the zoom mechanism. Trim unwanted parts from the videos by using the movie edit feature. This Fujifilm camera can take up to 240 shots on a fully-charged 740 mAh NP-45S Li-ion battery.

Elements / Groups: 13 / 11
Elements / Groups:
The individual pieces of glass that form the overall optical construction. Most lenses have between four and eleven elements to bend the light rays to ensure a perfectly formed image appears on the light sensitive surface, such as a film or CCD. The elements are arranged in groups and may be seen in specification sheets as, for example, 6 elements in 4 groups. That configuration may have two single elements and the other four grouped in pairs.
