The Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G Prime Lens allows you to take pictures in a shallow depth of field. It is compatible with Nikon FX-format cameras. The lens uses 7 optical elements in 6 groups. A single spherical is incorporated into the lens construction to ensure high-optical clarity at the edges. The Super Integrated Coating keeps ghosting and flares suppressed for image saturation. The Silent Wave AF Motor provides fast and quiet autofocus performance. You can manually override the autofocus to achieve critical focus. The rounded 7-blade diaphragm produces creamy bokeh. Also, the wide aperture of f/1.8 allows you to take pictures in low light without increasing the ISO.
