Overview

Nikon's Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED Lens is an FX-Format telephoto prime, designed for Nikon F-Mount cameras, & features a bright, f/2.8 maximum aperture, which makes it suitable for working in a variety of lighting conditions. Its aperture also offers increased control over depth of field, during the use of selective focusing techniques. The lens can also be used with DX models, & provides a 157.5mm equivalent focal length. The Micro-NIKKOR 105mm f/2.8G IF-ED Lens is ideal for macro photography, & offers a life-size 1:1 maximum magnification ratio, & a minimum focusing distance of 1 ft., making it suitable for working with close-up subjects. One extra-low dispersion element is included in the lens' design, to reduce color fringing & chromatic aberrations, while also producing greater clarity & color accuracy. Its Nano Crystal & Super Integrated coatings, were applied to individual lens elements, to suppress internal reflections, flare & ghosting, to improve contrast & color accuracy, when working in stronger lighting conditions.

I'm new to Macro photography and I'm still learning, but I love this lens so far! Every day I use it I explore new features. It's a little heavy, but well worth it.
