Bye Bye 2 d700S Hello 2 Nikon Df's

Rated 5.0 out of 5 stars.

Switched from Nikon D700 to Nikon DF 2 months back and just purchased a 2nd body DF. The sensor in low light surpasses any Nikon I have shot to date. I am a concert tour photographer and can say even at ISO exceeding 16000 picture is clear and no noise. Sharpness is amazing, colors stunning. Drawback is 5.5 fps which you still need the D3 or D4 for 8-10 fps for sports (professional) a few design flaws, lugs for neck strap (I don't use one) is in a strange spot and the body is small so with a LARGE 300 lens, hook your black rapid to the lens NOT the body. Exposure compensation dial is on the left and requires you to push a stick button and turn the dial. The stick is thin so for me it is fine. People with large fingers may find this uncomfortable as also the dial for changing F/stop is small and on the front of the camera right side and I have no issues but others say it is tough to find with large fingers. AF is different on this camera. I like it better the the previous D700's. Thanks to Unique Photo for outstanding service as always and Photography By Piernot endorses them. DF rates 9 out of 10 in my opinion for what I do.

The ISO speed setting dictates sensitivity to light. The higher the ISO speed, the more sensitive the film or digital sensor is to light. Higher ISOs have the effect of noise in an image. The actual ISO at which the noise occurs varies from camera to camera. Low ISOs are generally used for brighter lighting conditions and high ISOs are often used for low light or action shots.
