This Nikon telephoto lens surely delivers in terms of sports photography. I recently used it to shoot my kid's basketball game and it delivers stunning results. This was the first time I used this telephoto lens for personal use. I use my gear, mainly for professional work, but I also still have fun with personal photography projects too. This Nikon 70-200 f/2.8 VR II lens combined with the Nikon D600 is an excellent combination for capturing everything from the action at a high tempo game event to beautiful images of friends and family in outdoor locations.

one of the most amazing telephoto lenses

It is easily one of the most amazing telephoto lenses I have come across. Its lightning fast focus (considering its weight) is very impressive. I was using it for a Bokeh project last week and it delivered beautiful results with sharpness. Having f2.8 helps in low light. You will wish you had bought it sooner once you have it. Save up for it. Worth every penny. Yes, it is a bit heavy and is long, but worth the quality. It does come with a hefty price tag, but it is a steal for the perfection it delivers. Try to combine this Nikon telephoto lens with D750 for truly stunning results.

I went through several reviews before zeroing down on this Nikon telephoto lens. Yes, it will take a little time to get used to its weight. However, once you get the knack of all the features of this telephoto lens, you will not use another one for sure. It is an extraordinary lens in terms of handling and performance. The picture quality is sharp and devoid of the minimal blur. If you are into sports photography or Bokeh, this one is one of best lens available in the market. It is worth the price.

I recently bought this lens on the recommendation of my photography group. Earlier, I had received many recommendations and positive reviews of this telephoto lens. However, I wanted to try it once before buying it. I must confess that I was blown away by the versatility and functionality of this lens. The VR II feature does an amazing job in terms of image stabilization. The weight and balance of this Nikon telephoto lens are easy for handling and transport. I would definitely recommend it to my friends.

I am extremely happy with this Nikon telephoto lens. It offers amazing portrait performance at f/2.8 along with doing a great job at separating the subject. After a friend's recommendation, I had an opportunity to use this telephoto lens to quickly capture the two attached images just using a single softbox. And I was pretty impressed with the results it delivered. Next time, I will be using a three-light setup. The look and build is also very robust.
