The Sony Alpha a7R is an advanced mirrorless digital camera that comes with a gapless on-chip lens design a wide range of features for a versatile photography experience. It features a 36.4 MP Full-Frame Exmor CMOS sensor, which combines with the BIONZ X image processor to provide an expansive dynamic range with increased resolution and fine details. The 3.0-inch tiltable LCD screen comes with a resolution of 1229 k dots to provide a great deal of clarity for viewing your captured videos and photos. Moreover, the inbuilt NFC and WiFi connectivity facilities are useful for sharing content with similarly compatible devices.

Optics and Focus

The Alpha a7R Mirrorless digital camera from Sony is made to be used with all Sony E-Mount lenses that offer respectable apertures and focal lengths. The extended ISO sensitivity ranges from 50 to 25,600 whereas the shutter speed ranges from 30 seconds to 1/8000 of a second. The fast, intelligent 25-point autofocus system enables you to focus on your subjects with immense precision. Apart from the three metering methods, you can even use the numerous Exposure and White Balance modes to assist in a wide range of photography tasks.

Sensor and Screen

The Alpha a7R from Sony features a 36.4 MP Full-Frame Exmor CMOS sensor, which provides an expansive dynamic range with increased resolution and fine details. The 3.0-inch tiltable LCD screen comes with a resolution of 1229 k dots to provide a great deal of clarity for viewing your captured videos and photos. The 1/2-inch 2.4 million-dot electronic viewfinder comes in handy under certain lighting conditions where it becomes difficult to use the LCD screen. Image and Video

The Sony Alpha a7R mirrorless digital camera shoots photos at its highest resolution of 7360 x 4912 pixels in the RAW and JPEG formats. It even records Full HD videos at a 1920 x 1080p resolution at 60 fps in the MPEG-4 AVCHD format. The BIONZ X image processing engine, with its high-speed processing capabilities, reproduces crystal-clear textures and details in real time. Furthermore, you can capture shots continuously at a burst rate of up to 4 fps.

Other Features

The inbuilt NFC and WiFi connectivity options of the Sony Alpha a7R are useful for sharing content with similarly compatible devices. You can control your Alpha a7R directly from your computer via a USB cable connection by using the Remote Camera Control function.
