Filters
Filters are one of the most important components in a photographer's kit. Without them, it's virtually impossible to proceed with your photo shoot. There are myriad types of filters that are utilized for diverse purposes. For instance, lens filters help keep out excess sunlight during daytime, and specially formulated DSLR lens filters go a step further by modulating the exact amount of light and color that should pass through the lens. Filters ensure that your final output is devoid of any unwanted image distortion, excessive light, or redundant color. At the end of the day, one must realize that even if they are an ace photographer, camera lens filters are bound to augment the final picture quality by some extent.
Unique Photo carries a full line of lens filters including Canon, Cokin, Expo Imaging, Hoya, Ilford, Kodak, Lee Filters, Lens Babies, Lowel, Nikon and many more!

Filter Buying Guide
Filters are, like the name suggests, a filter for a spectrum of light that enters the lens. They come in various shapes and sizes, and can be used in a variety of ways. They may directly screw onto your lens, or you may be required to buy an attachment to fit onto the lens. The most common filter shape is round, but they can come in square (acetate) form as well. The lens specifications should provide the filter ring size. This guide seeks to provide the reader a basic overview of different types of filters and their uses.
