    OVERVIEW

The Nikon NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-f/6.3 VR Lens is an all-in-one zoom lens, by Nikon, that covers wide-angle to telephoto fields of view, & is designed for FX-Format, Z-Mount Mirrorless Cameras. The lens features an 8.3x zoom, an f/4 maximum aperture, & an advanced optical design, which uses ED, Aspherical, & Aspherical ED elements, as well as Nano Crystal, & ARNEO coatings, to produce sharp, & clear images, with high contrast, & accurate color rendering.

The NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-f/6.3 VR Lens's optical design, makes it highly suitable, for working in various lighting conditions, while still producing high-quality results. Its Vibration Reduction image stabilization, minimizes the appearance of camera-shake, that can occur during handheld shooting, by up to 5-stops, for a sharper handheld-shooting experience. A stepping motor is featured, in the lens' design, to provide fast, quiet, & precise autofocusing, & features full-time manual focus override, to suit video, & stills applications. A programmable control ring is featured, & can be customized, for intuitive adjustment, over camera-, & exposure-settings.

A specialized, electromagnetic aperture-mechanism is included in the lens' design, to provide greater stability, & control, over your exposure (Especially helpful, during the use of fast continuous-shooting rates). The lens features a rounded, seven-blade diaphragm, which produces a, pleasing "bokeh" quality, through the use of selective-focusing techniques. The lens-barrel is dust-, & moisture-resistant, to benefit working in inclement weather conditions.

The individual pieces of glass that form the overall optical construction. Most lenses have between four and eleven elements to bend the light rays to ensure a perfectly formed image appears on the light sensitive surface, such as a film or CCD. The elements are arranged in groups and may be seen in specification sheets as, for example, 6 elements in 4 groups. That configuration may have two single elements and the other four grouped in pairs.
