This excursion is tailored to photographers and designed to take participants to both the iconic and little-known places in the Highlands. With the help of expert Icelander guides and AIP's professional photo guides, each day's shoots will be optimized based on local weather conditions. Get the epic photographs that Iceland is known for, as well as in-depth training on composition, seeing the light, and a complete array of camera techniques.

This year’s trip will feature two Mercedes Sprinter Vans with gigantic tires, which will be key to reaching the best locations in the Highlands. Two vehicles also provides the ability to break into different groups; those interested in the more strenuous hikes and those looking for more relaxed access. Either way, you'll get the best of the Iceland Highlands!

Please note that airfare to and back from Iceland is NOT included.

Get instruction on the importance of understanding the fundamentals (such as depth of field, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, exposure compensation, metering, white balance, reading histograms, on camera flashes, lenses) and how they will affect your photos!

In the second half of the class, the students will work with their cameras and apply what they have learned.  The buttons and settings will be much easier to manipulate and each student will have develop the ability to capture the images closer to their vision.

*Please note that this class is NOT for point-and-shoot cameras.
