Allow Yourself to Be Inspired! with Joel Tjintjelaar and AIP
    Instructor:
    Skill Level:
    Everyone

Joel Tjintjelaar is an award winning B&W fine-art photographer from the Netherlands. His work has been published on many online websites and in magazines like American Photo, Black + White Photography magazine UK and Dutch magazine Digifotopro to name a few. The artist loves Black and White photography because with the removal of color the essence of objects, situations, scenarios and people can become more visible.

"It's up to you what you do with contrasts, light, shapes and lines to emphasize the essence, or what you see as the essence - no colors that will seduce the eye, only emotion that will capture the heart... Black and white is seeing and working in luminance values or contrasts only, about working in visual depth, and seeing a world that’s different from the objective real world... By working in black and white you’re one step away from reality, and that is considered to be an important element of aesthetics. It says a lot about how the artist sees the world." says Joel. Join him and Adventures in Photography (AIP) and allow yourself to be inspired!

Fall Foliage and Covered Bridges of Lehigh Valley with Ron Wyatt
    Instructor:
    Ron Wyatt
    Skill Level:
    Everyone

The history of covered bridges in Pennsylvania can be traced back to European roots. The first covered bridge is thought to have been built in the mid 1300s between Germany and Switzerland. German immigrants brought the idea and design to this country. Covered bridges were usually named after the builders, local residents, or nearby businesses, which often were working gristmills along the waterways in the vicinity of the bridges. Bridges were covered to keep the plank roadways dry. Some also say the bridges were covered to resemble barns so that horses would be less hesitant to enter.

Join Ron Wyatt and Unique Photo for a day of exploring and photographing some of Pennsylvania's covered bridges in the midst of Fall and its vibrant foliage!  Of the 200+ covered bridges still standing in Pennsylvania, seven excellent examples are community treasures in Lehigh Valley.  Capture the romantic quality of a time when life moved more slowly.

    *Limited to 10 registrants.
*Van transportation is included and leaves promptly from Unique at 6:00am.
*There will be some walking at each covered bridge stop, so please wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
*Please bring your own lunch and snacks.

Adding Impact to Your Landscape and Travel Photography
    Instructor:
    Joe Brady
    Skill Level:
    Everyone

Join Sony Artisan of Imagery Joe Brady as he shares his approach, thought process and editing insights to produce beautiful images. By understanding the entire process from capture to edit to print to presentation, you can eliminate most problems before you even press the shutter. When you can visualize the final print, you will learn to make better decisions with composition and subject and also take fewer but better images.

After seeing how to better prepare for capturing the landscape, the second part of this class explores the editing processes in both Lightroom and Photoshop that can enhance and shape the original file into a beautiful photograph.

If you’ve ever been disappointed with the capture you see on the back of your camera, this presentation can help you to better understand why it’s happening and you will learn how to turn those seemingly disappointing raw files into great photographs!
