Overview

The Fujifilm X-E3 Mirrorless Camera features a rangefinder-inspired body packed with 4K shooting and advanced focusing options. You can use the camera with the Fujifilm XF 18-55mm f/2.8-4 R LM lens. Powered by the 24.3 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor, the X-E3 captures 24.3 MP images and supports 14 fps continuous shooting. Also, the X-Processor Pro engine enhances the camera performance for low-light environments. With the 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD, you can take photos instantly by tapping the screen. The Film Simulation modes revive the classic feel of old Fujifilm rolls. Use the built-in Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to transfer photos or remotely control the camera via smartphones. The camera functions on an NP-W126S Li-ion battery. A Fujifilm SP-3 Share SQ printer comes along with the camera for creating instant photographs from digital images.

Optics and Focus

The XF 18–55mm F/2.8–F/4 R OIS lens offers consistency throughout its zoom range, thanks to the inclusion of three aspherical and one abnormal glass elements in its lens construction. The smooth linear motor-driven AF system ensures fast and accurate autofocus down to a minimum distance of 30 cm. Also, the camera uses a sizeable phase-detection area and an optimized AF algorithm to maintain focus on the subject in the video mode. The 7-blade diaphragm ensures a smooth bokeh effect in the image background. If you are shooting handheld, enable the optical image stabilization to get shake-free videos and photos. Other Fujifilm X-series lenses can also be attached to the camera.

Sensor and Screen

This Fuji camera is equipped with a 24.3 MP APS-C X-Trans CMOS III sensor for capturing high-definition imagery. The low-pass filter is discarded to increase the overall image sharpness. Also, the X-Trans design reproduces the organic look of film rolls, having nuanced colors and smooth tonal gradations. Playback captured media or access different camera settings with the 3.0-inch rear LCD. Additionally, the touchscreen functionality allows you to focus and zoom in on a particular area with simple taps and pinch and palm-spread gestures, respectively.

Image and Video

The Fujifilm X-E3 provides 4K and Full HD video recording. For 1080p, the camera has a maximum frame rate of 60 fps that allows you to slow down the footage in post-processing without creating any noticeable blur. This Fujifilm mirrorless camera also captures 24 MP still images with a maximum resolution of 6000×4000 pixels. The X-Processor Pro also adds to the image quality when working in low light. The camera comes with a continuous shooting mode to click burst shots at 14 fps. With the Film Simulation modes, your captured photos or videos mimic the unique look of classic Fujifilm rolls. The Advanced SR Auto mode makes adjustments in the camera settings automatically according to the lighting conditions.

Other Features

The Fujifilm X-E3 features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to allow image transfers and control it with a smartphone. For flash photography, the camera lets you mount an external strobe to the hot shoe and synchronize it with the shutter at 1/180th of a second. Select the focus mode while viewing through the viewfinder with the front focus lever. The Fujifilm SP-3 Share SQ printer turns a digital image into a 2.4×2.4-inch photograph in a matter of 13 seconds. Its Wi-Fi connectivity lets you connect smartphones for wireless printing via the instax SHARE mobile app. You may use the built-in filters or templates to modify the look of your photos.
