Overview

The Fujifilm GFX 50S is a medium-format mirrorless camera that offers high imaging power with its large sensor. It comes with a GF 23mm f/4 R LM WR lens. The camera uses a 51.4 MP CMOS sensor that provides a 14-stop, wide dynamic range. The X-Processor Pro supports Full HD video recording at 30 fps and continuous shooting at 3 fps by improving the camera performance. The 3.2-inch 2.36m-dot touchscreen LCD lets you compose shots and playback recorded media. Also, the tiltable LCD allows low- and high-angle shooting. The dual UHS-II SD memory card slots let you efficiently manage the media storage. With the built-in Wi-Fi, you may send images to smartphones and control the camera remotely. The voice memo function allows you to keep a note of your shoots in a 30-second audio file.

Optics and Focus

The Fujifilm GF 23mm f/4 R WR lens that comes along with this Fuji camera is ideal for landscape photography. However, other Fujifilm G-mount lenses can also be used with this mirrorless camera. The included Fuji lens is made with 15 elements arranged in 12 groups, including 3 ED and a single super ED lens to reduce chromatic aberrations. A Nano-GI coating is applied on each element to suppress ghosting and flare. With the linear AF motor, the lens can autofocus on objects from a minimum distance of 38 cm. The 9-blade diaphragm provides a rounded bokeh effect in the blurred background. This lens has a dust- and weather-resistant sealing and can work in temperatures as low as 14° F. The Fujifilm GFX 50S camera boasts the contrast detection AF system that comprises 117 points. The focus peaking feature aids you in manual focusing.

Sensor and Screen

The 51.4 MP CMOS sensor of this Fuji mirrorless camera creates smooth tonal gradations in images. Compose the shot or playback captured videos or photos on the 3.2-inch 2.36m-dot touchscreen LCD. The LCD can be tilted up or down to work from low and high angles. For eye-level shooting, the camera features the 3.69m-dot OLED viewfinder. The electronic viewfinder provides 0.85× magnification and has an adjustable diopter of -4 to +2 m. Both the LCD and EVF offer 100% screen coverage.

Images and Videos

This Fujifilm camera takes 51.4 MP pictures with a maximum resolution of 8256×6192 dpi. In the movie mode, the camera records 1080p videos at 30 fps.
