Overview

The Fujifilm X-T2 is a black-colored mirrorless digital camera that is high on performance and loaded with a range of features. For starters, it is equipped with a 24.3 MP X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor and has no low-pass filter. It produces photos at a rapid speed with a sharp image resolution. This camera even supports 4K video recording that uses each available Film Simulation mode, including the ACROS mode, for recording high-quality footage. The X-Processor Pro offers a startup time of 0.3 seconds, a shutter time lag of 0.045 seconds, and a shooting interval of 0.17 seconds. The Wi-Fi connectivity is useful for controlling the camera remotely.

Optics and Focus

The X-T2 mirrorless digital camera from Fujifilm features an 18-55 mm lens that offers an aperture of f/2.8-4. The lens has 1 abnormal dispersion element and 3 aspherical elements that prevent aberrations, giving you accurate colors and crisp details throughout the image frame. The phase-detection AF and motion-predictive AF modes operate at a speed of 0.06 seconds and allow you to shoot pictures continuously at a burst rate of 8 fps, which expands to 11 fps with the help of a Booster Grip. The Lens Modulation Optimizer technology lets you maximize the performance of the lens. Furthermore, the ISO sensitivity varies from 100 to 51,200.

Sensor and Screen

This camera comes with a 24.3 MP X-Trans CMOS III APS-C sensor without a low-pass filter, for shooting pictures with a blend of speed and sharp image resolution. The 3-inch tiltable LCD monitor features a 1.04-million-dot resolution and a 3-directional tilt mechanism for browsing your menus and viewing your captured content. It provides 4 modes for viewing your subjects, viz., Dual, Full, Vertical, and Normal. The tempered glass is essential for protecting the LCD screen from damage. The 0.48-inch OLED viewfinder has a resolution of 2.36 million dots, which makes it easy to view your subjects under bright sunlight. Also, the viewfinder provides a 0.77x magnification for viewing distant subjects with immense clarity.

Image and Video

Apart from capturing high-resolution images, this X-T2 from Fujifilm shoots amazing 4K footage at its maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels at 30 p. The X-Processor Pro can perform a shutter time lag of 0.045 seconds, a shooting interval of 0.17 seconds, and a startup time of 0.3 seconds. The in-camera RAW converter lets you convert your images into the RAW format. The interval timer shooting mode is available at intervals of 1 second to 24 hours and up to 999 frames for performing Time Lapse photography.

Other Features

The included Wi-Fi connectivity facility in this camera enables you to control your camera remotely. In addition to being durable, the camera’s compact, lightweight, die-cast magnesium body is moisture-, dust-, and freeze-resistant up to 14° F, since it comes with 63 points of weather sealing. The various Film Simulation modes, including the ACROS mode, help produce high-quality footage with little effort. Finally, the 2 command dials and 6 function buttons come in handy for offering instant control and customization.

Control Specifications
ISO Speed: AUTO (Control available up to ISO 12800) Equivalent to ISO 200 - 12800 (Standard Output Sensitivity) Extended output sensitivity : Equivalent ISO 100, 25600 and 51200
ISO Speed:
The ISO speed setting dictates sensitivity to light. The higher the ISO speed, the more sensitive the film or digital sensor is to light. Higher ISOs have the effect of noise in an image. The actual ISO at which the noise occurs varies from camera to camera. Low ISOs are generally used for brighter lighting conditions and high ISOs are often used for low light or action shots.

Elements / Groups:
The individual pieces of glass that form the overall optical construction. Most lenses have between four and eleven elements to bend the light rays to ensure a perfectly formed image appears on the light sensitive surface, such as a film or CCD. The elements are arranged in groups and may be seen in specification sheets as, for example, 6 elements in 4 groups. That configuration may have two single elements and the other four grouped in pairs.
