A megapixel is one million pixels. It is commonly used to describe the resolution of digital cameras. For example, a 7.2 megapixel camera is capable of capturing roughly 7,200,000 pixels. The higher the megapixel number, the more detail the camera can capture. Therefore, the megapixel count is a significant specification to look for when buying a digital camera.

overview

The Fujifilm X-T100 Mirrorless Camera offers ultra-high-definition imaging capabilities in a compact yet stylish body. It works with all Fujifilm X-mount lenses. The camera gets its imaging power from the 24.2 MP APS-C CMOS sensor. Along with 4K recording, the camera shoots videos in 1080p at 60 fps. The continuous image capture function offers burst shots at 15 fps. Use either the 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD or OLED electronic viewfinder to frame the shot. With the advanced SR mode, you can take pictures or videos without diving deep into the camera settings. Apply the film simulation modes or advance creative filters to create a unique mood in the image. Send captured photos instantly to smartphones with the built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Optics and Focus

The Fujifilm X-T100 can be used with all X-mount lenses. You can select the exposure metering pattern from the average, multi-zone, and spot options. The advanced SR mode automatically sets the lens aperture, shutter speed, ISO, and white balance of the camera. Capture clear photos of subjects by using the 91-area hybrid autofocus system, whether they are stationary or moving. It uses both contrast and phase detection methods to ensure quick and precise operation. The camera lets you choose between the mechanical and electronic shutter options. When you select the mechanical shutter, the rolling shutter effect is reduced, while the electronic shutter ensures a quiet operation that makes it ideal for conferences or wildlife venturing. The native ISO of 200–12800 is expandable to 100–51200 for correct exposures in different lighting conditions.

Sensor and Screen

The Fuji X-T100 mirrorless camera utilizes the 24.2 MP APS-C CMOS sensor to capture high-resolution stills and videos. The 3.0-inch touchscreen LCD provides a 1.04m-dot resolution view of the scene. Also, you can tilt the screen up or down for taking high- or low-angle shots, or flip it 180° to capture selfies. The 0.62× OLED viewfinder also provides a sharp scene view in 2.36m-dot resolution. Additionally, the viewfinder diopter is adjustable from -4 to +2 m.

Image and Video

The Fujifilm X-T100 offers photographs in a maximum resolution of 6000×4000 pixels. Apart from the JPEG format, you can select the RAW imaging option to get complete control over the dynamic range during post-processing. The camera captures videos in UHD 4K at 15 fps and 1080p at 60 fps. Capture 20 MP continuous shots at 6 fps. Alternatively, the 4K burst mode lets you shoot 8 MP stills at 15 fps. Like all X-series models, the X-T100 includes different film simulation modes that mimic the look of classic Fujifilm rolls. The various advance creative filters give your photographs a unique feel. Use the multi-focus mode to compose images taken with different focus points to create an extended depth of field.

Other Features

This Fujifilm mirrorless camera has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth options to allow quick image sharing to smartphones and tablets. To facilitate low-light image capture, use the integrated flash with a guide 16.4 feet at ISO 100. A hot shoe is also provided to allow mounting of an external flash, and a detachable grip ensures a firm hold. This camera body takes inspiration from vintage Fuji models. On a fully charged NP-W126S Li-ion battery, the camera captures approximately 430 shots.
